Stop in at Karsen’s Grill

Have you ever walked into a bar for the first time and felt like you’d walked into your favorite local place? That’s the feeling I get at Karsen’s Grill in Old Town Scottsdale. I’ve gone there by myself just to have a beer after a workout, and I’ve never felt like I was there alone!

Explore the Valley with Detours

I spent Sunday letting someone else do the driving! I treated myself to a City Highlights Half-Day Tour with Detours. A custom van picked me up for a guided tour of the sites and history of Scottsdale and Downtown Phoenix.

I really enjoyed walking around the Wesley Bolin Plaza by the old Capitol building, with its 29 memorials and monuments. The ones that touched me the most were the 9-11 Memorial and the anchor of the USS Arizona. I …
