Wink24 at Biltmore Fashion Park

Have you been to the new Wink24 at Biltmore Fashion Park? It’s an eclectic space with a lovely patio. Owner and chef Fernanda Borlettie serves up wood-fired pizza, paninis, salads and charcuterie.

We sampled a tasting menu showcasing some of their specialty items such as Roasted Barbabietole, Spicy Meatballs and Zucchine Fritte…all delicious. I also loved the Roasted Parsnip and Pecorino Salad with crisp bacon and green …

Head North to the Verde Canyon Railroad

I recently took some out-of-town guests on a special trip to the Verde Canyon Railroad in Clarkdale. The four-hour journey follows the Verde River through the Prescott National Forest and Coconino National Forest. From 1912 to 1988, the railroad linked the smelter at Clarkdale and copper mines at Jerome to the Santa Fe Railway.

Modern American Fare at Cowboy Ciao

One of my favorite restaurants in Downtown Scottsdale is Cowboy Ciao, beloved by locals and visitors since 1997. They serve up delicious, modern American cuisine with Southwestern flavors and global influences, in an eclectic atmosphere.

Snooze, an A.M. Eatery

I ordered my normal bacon and eggs, but they also sent over a surprise Pineapple Upside Down Pancake. It was delicious, with caramelized pineapple chunks, vanilla …

LON’s at the Hermosa Inn

When I eat out, I love going to cozy restaurants, especially ones with a bit of history. One of my favorite places is LON’s at the Hermosa Inn, which serves artful American cuisine. Lon Megargee was a cowboy artist who was well known for his artwork featured inside the Stetson cowboy hat. The inn was originally his home. After adding a studio, he called it “Casa Hermosa”, and later opened it as a guest ranch. The Hermosa Inn is in the middle of Paradise Valley, a beautiful and secluded residential area.
