Looking for a new dining spot in Downtown Scottsdale? El Panzon y Frida is a bright, colorful space with inspired global fare. A special hand-painted wall mural is dedicated to Mexican artist and feminist icon, Frida Kahlo, whose work serves as the inspiration behind the restaurant’s name and menu.
The cuisine is diverse and bold, including a wonderful Grilled Octopus flown in from Spain and a unique take on gyoza that’s vegetarian and made with beets, carrot and sweet potato. Colorful cocktails include the Lingonberry Mule with vodka, lingonberry, ginger beer and lime; and the Port Sazerac with with Bulleit Rye, absinthe, port, bitters and simple syrup. The restaurant also serves brunch is served every Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with half-off all wine and bottomless mimosas for $15 per person.
The restaurant is now open and is also hosting a grand opening celebration in commemoration of Frida Kahlo’s birthday on Thursday, July 6 at 6 p.m. Enjoy complimentary tastes, libations and entertainment throughout the evening. Guests are encouraged to don fun, bold and colorful attire.
El Panzon y Frida is open Tuesday through Friday for lunch and dinner, and Saturday and Sunday for brunch and dinner. You’ll find it at 7323 E. Shoeman Lane in Scottsdale.
