Just off the beaten path in the center of Old Town Scottsdale is Nonna Urban Eatery, featuring urban dishes from all over the globe. Nonna’s interior is modern yet rustic, offering you a full view of the open kitchen. Chef and owner Gian Franco Brugaletta uses seasonal ingredients to ensure the freshest and finest quality reflective of the time of year.
A great way to get the meal started is with the Truffle Oil Seared Yellowtail. This small plate features torch seared sashimi cut yellowtail with the decadent addition of truffle oil, garnished with jalapeños for some added heat.
All pasta is made in house, making any of the dishes a must try. Our pasta of choice is the Grilled Salmon Campanelle. It’s the perfect summer pasta, with grilled salmon, a lemon sauce tossed with leeks, and asparagus.
Don’t forget dessert, especially if it’s the Limoncello Tiramisu. If a traditional dessert is a little too sweet for your taste, end your meal with the Artisan Cheese Board with nuts and accoutrements. The menu changes seasonally, so you always get the opportunity to try something new.
Nonna Urban Eatery is located at 7240 E Main St, Scottsdale.
