Sonata’s Restaurant is the one of the new gems on the Scottsdale restaurant scene. Tucked away just west of Scottsdale Road on Gold Dust, it features modern European cuisine served in a chic and contemporary atmosphere. Hundreds of wooden log ends line an entire wall, while bold pops of color meld with the black leather chairs and wood plank floors, creating a warm, inviting ambiance.
Chef Josh Bracher has created an outstanding array of Lithuanian-inspired food using local, organic and in-season ingredients as well as wild-caught fish and game when available. Among the outstanding dishes I tried were Pepper Crusted Fois Gras, Rye Bread tossed in duck fat with havarti cheese, Cheese and Caramelized Onion Perogies with sherry glaze, Salmon with Mussels, and Smoked Pork Belly Confit. Every dish was superb! There was room for just one more bite, Tiny Curd Cheese Doughnuts with vanilla pastry cream and strawberry marmalade.
Sonata’s Restaurant is open for lunch Monday through Friday, as well as dinner daily. You’ll find it at 10050 N. Scottsdale Road #127 in Scottsdale. Give them a ring at 480.477.1390.
