Where do you like to go for barbecue?

Rudy’s. They’re based in Albuquerque and have two locations in the Valley (one in Chandler and one in Goodyear). They have the best brisket, I haven’t seen anyone else come close!

Catch a Flick at FilmBar in Phoenix

If you enjoy or classic, cult, foreign or independent movies, FilmBar in Downtown Phoenix is a spot you should check out. This small theater shows movies you won’t see elsewhere, and has a spacious bar and lounge to boot. Owner Kelly Aubey is an ex-computer programmer who was inspired by theaters he saw while traveling and wanted to bring a new movie-going experience to Phoenix.

Shop, Eat + Read at The Newton

The Newton is a neat complex at 3rd Avenue and Camelback that includes Southern Rail restaurant, Changing Hands Bookstore, and Southwest Gardener. Originally, the building housed Beef Eaters restaurant, which opened in 1961. Each spot has a unique personality. You can enjoy dinner and drinks, browse the bookstore, and find some unique gifts.
