Bar Crudo is one of the best places to grab a drink in Arcadia. In fact, it was named “Best Cocktail Bar” as a Critic’s Pick by The Arizona Republic. This spot opened two years ago and serves up a lengthy menu of craft cocktails featuring fresh ingredients, house-made syrups, and house-infused spirits.
Mixologist and co-owner Micah Olson was the sommelier at Sanctuary Camelback Mountain Resort. After participating in an intensive one-week mixology course there, he was inspired to move behind the bar. He later worked at Merc Bar before partnering with Chef Cullen Campbell in opening Crudo. Whiskey and bourbon drinks are his favorite, but the cocktails at Crudo feature an array of liquors ranging from gin to cachaca and tequila.
A favorite is Tongue Tied, made with Sombra Mezcal, Luxardo Abano Amaro, strawberry, lime, and lavender tincture.
The Rebel’s Son is made with Bulleit Rye Whiskey, Cardamaro Amaro, rosemary, elderflower, lemon, and Fee’s Old Fashioned Bitters.
You can choose from over twenty original cocktails; the menu changes three times a year. Classic cocktails are on special during happy hour.
Enjoy some light bites in the bar, or make a night of it and have dinner in the adjoining restaurant, Crudo. The menu features modern Italian fare broken down into four distinct elements: crudo (raw), cotto (cooked), mozza (mozzarella), and griglia (grilled). You can even pick any three, four, or five courses and enjoy a tasting of anything on the menu.
