Sphinx Date Co. has been in the Valley since 1951. This wonderful shop sells not only dates but a variety of Arizona-grown goodies, just south of Downtown Scottsdale. You’ll find salsas, prickly pear cactus jelly candy and other sweets, pistachios, pecans, beer, wines, honey, and more.
Sphinx Date Co. gets their Medjool dates from family farms in Yuma. Their seasonal Black Sphinx dates come from a grove here in Phoenix, which is where they were first discovered and grown. Read more about the history here.
