Last week I decided to take my grandsons out to the latest great attraction in Scottsdale, Butterfly Wonderland.
I am now a lifetime member because I know it is a place we will visit often! It is not only educational, but an ideal place to spend a hot summer afternoon. It has the largest butterfly atrium in the country!
You can also experience a wonderful 3D movie, the Butterfly Emergence Gallery, and The Conservatory — a glass atrium housing over 3,000 butterflies from around the world. It took my breath away! If you are lucky, a butterfly will land on you for an up-close visit.
I also enjoyed seeing the working bee hive. Did you know that a bee produces just one drop of honey in a lifetime? Stop to see the Live Ant Colony and Rivers of the Amazon Aquatic Life exhibits for a wide variety of colorful fish and rays.
This is the first phase of Odysea in the Desert, which will eventually also include an aquarium, a Ripley’s Believe It or Not, and more. Another great Scottsdale destination!
