Just in time for spring training, Hula’s Modern Tiki has added a second location, in Downtown Scottsdale. The new spot is a very hip, mid-century-esque restaurant with a great urban feel and fabulous food. The front completely opens up onto 1st Avenue, which is a great place to enjoy our wonderful weather, do a little people watching, and be part of the bustling downtown scene.
Their menu is a wonderful assortment of island favorites with new exciting offerings like Abalone Style Calamari with lime-ginger cream sauce and soy glaze. Oh, my goodness, this is worth a special trip…it is that good! For dinner, you can pick one of five fish options and have it prepared one of six ways, meaning there’s a plethora of delicious options! They also have burgers, sandwiches, tacos and “Hula’s favorites” that include steak, pork, chicken…all prepared with a unique Polynesian twist. Be sure to leave room dessert. Just try to pass up a Warm Brownie with Macadamia Nut Ice Cream or the amazing Key Lime Pie! Hula’s Modern Tiki is a welcome addition to downtown.
