I heard so many comments about the new place on 7th Street called “The Yard” that I was thrilled when I was invited to dine there! This spot has different dining concepts all under one roof. Little Cleo’s Seafood Legend is a restaurant resembling those that you find on the East Coast, a small place with a cozy patio.
Some of the most memorable dishes were the Warm Jar of King Crab and Butter with grilled bread and the New England Clam Chowder with bacon and potatoes. As for the main entrée, I just loved the Traditional Fish and Chips served with celery seed coleslaw. I lived in Wisconsin for many years and on Friday nights we would all go out for fish and chips. My dining partner had the Alaskan Halibut with romesco sauce, capers, raisins, and almonds, which was divine! I did not sample desserts but they had a Blackberry Rhubarb Tart with whipped Greek yogurt, and Cinnamon-Sugar Donuts with caramel apple butter. Yum!
Little Cleo’s has a fun vibe with 1940s music playing in the background. You can sit at the counter/oyster bar and watch the food being prepared, or dine at the tables with friends. After dinner, step out of the restaurant into an area that feels like your backyard. You can play ping pong, shuffleboard, and corn-hole. Relax and enjoy a fun evening out!
Thank you to Little Cleo’s for the complimentary dinner.
