If you’ve cooled off in the OH Pool and you still can’t stand the heat, head to the high country! Just a little over two hours north, you can be swinging from the giant Ponderosa Pines in Arizona’s Coconino National Forest (the second-largest forest in the U.S.).
The Flagstaff Extreme Adventure Course has an adult course with four circuits, where you can swing from ropes, sramble up walls and ladders, walk across suspended bridges, and even zip line. There is a course for every fitness level and age, including kids. I sent four friends and they all said they felt safe and also got a great adrenaline rush. It’s now on my bucket list!
