Our guests love to take home souvenirs for friends and family, and one of my favorite places to send them is Bischoff’s Shades of the West in Old Town Scottsdale. Scottsdale’s first general store and post office were built on this site in 1897, before it was even a city. Anselm Bischoff founded Bischoff’s as a fine arts and crafts store in 1971; his grandfather was a collector and trader on the Indian reservation in Chinle, Arizona.
