Vincent Market Bistro and Saturday Market

I wanted to find a quiet, charming restaurant where I could take a friend out for her birthday. I have dined at Vincent on Camelback but I never had the opportunity to go to Vincent Market Bistro. If you are not familiar with the quaint little restaurant, it is next to Vincent’s Restaurant on the north side of Camelback Road just west of 40th Street. When you enter through the front door, you have the feeling you are in a quaint little bistro in France.

For lunch, we were greeted by a plate of warm buttery mini croissants with the jam of the day, which was addictive! The lunch menu is small but has a lot of variety with such items as quiches. omelets, panini, cog au vin, salads and an onion tart. I ordered the Salmon Salad with the black olive tapenade drizzled with their house vinaigrette. The lettuce tasted like it was picked from the garden and the light vinaigrette enhanced the freshness of the greens. Our meal was wonderful!

They also offer The Camelback Market on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., October through May. It not only features some of their scrumptious food but also a selection of local produce, plus imported olive oil, soaps, and more. You can enjoy the crepes or maybe a pizza from their mobile pizza oven. Go early as it gets crowded and parking can be a challenge. Bon appétit!
